Suppose my company produces some carbon, I do my best to reduce that and then agree to pay Al Gore Carbon Offset Inc.charges to offset my New Lower Carbon Output and then promote my new-found green credentials to the world. What does Al Gore Inc.do with the money ? Do they plant forests ? If so, where are they, has anyone ever seen one ?
